About Alivera Mukamazimpaka

Alivera Mukamazimpaka is a senior nurse in Charge of Type 1 Diabetes Education at the Rwanda Diabetes Association (RDA). With 25 years of committed service to the RDA, she has played a pivotal role in supporting individuals with Type 1 diabetes, particularly through education, self-management training, and participation in life-changing programs such as youth summer camps, peer support groups, and ongoing patient support efforts. Her work emphasizes not only medical guidance but also emotional and practical empowerment, helping children, youth, and adults manage their condition effectively for better long-term health outcomes
